Tata Steel Foundation – Four Wheeler Service Technician Program
1. Skilling Rural Youth for Automotive Careers
In partnership with Tata Steel Foundation, MHF trained underserved youth from Sukinda, Odisha in four-wheeler servicing, creating pathways to sustainable livelihoods in the automotive sector.
2. Strong Employment Outcomes
The initiative trained 144 youth and achieved a 78.5% placement rate, with candidates securing jobs across leading automotive and allied companies.
3. Industry-Linked Training with Livelihood Impact
The program combined mobilization, technical training, certification, and placement support to build job readiness and long-term employability.
4. Enabling Financial Independence for Rural Families
Participants secured an average monthly salary of ₹15,617, creating immediate economic impact and improved livelihood opportunities for their families.
5. Driving Inclusive Growth in Mining-Affected Communities
The initiative contributed to youth employability, reduced underemployment, and strengthened access to technical education in underserved regions.
Exide – Project Swavalamban
1. Formal Recognition for India’s Informal Workforce
MHF partnered with Exide Industries to formally certify 600 informal-sector two-wheeler technicians, helping skilled workers gain professional recognition and improved livelihood opportunities.
2. Multi-State Skilling Initiative Across India
The project was implemented across six states — West Bengal, Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha, Gujarat, and Maharashtra — creating a scalable and geographically diverse skilling ecosystem.
3. Industry-Relevant Technical Upskilling
Technicians received hands-on training in advanced two-wheeler servicing, including BS-VI technology, engine systems, batteries, sensors, and workshop safety practices aligned with evolving industry standards.
4. Beyond Certification: Enabling Safer & Stronger Livelihoods
Participants were provided with professional tool kits, accidental insurance coverage, training materials, and NCVET certification — strengthening both employability and workplace security.
5. Supporting Entrepreneurship and Income Growth
The project empowered technicians to access opportunities in branded service centres while also encouraging self-employment and entrepreneurship among informal mechanics.
Collaboration with Coal India Limited
1. Transforming Rural Women into Healthcare Professionals
MHF trained and certified 250 unemployed young women from Dhanbad in healthcare support services, enabling them to access dignified employment opportunities in hospitals and healthcare institutions.
2. From Training to Livelihoods: 75% Placement Achievement
The project achieved a 75% placement rate, with 187 women placed across reputed healthcare organizations — demonstrating MHF’s strong industry linkage and outcome-oriented skilling model.
3. Beyond Classrooms: Real-World Industry Exposure
The program combined technical training with practical lab sessions, on-the-job hospital exposure, soft skills, and workplace readiness — ensuring participants became truly job-ready rather than only certificate holders.

To ensure participation from underserved communities, MHF provided food, accommodation, training materials, aprons, and continuous mentoring support — helping remove barriers that often prevent women from completing skilling programs.

India Power – Project Kaushalata
1. Empowering Women from Marginalized Communities Through Healthcare Careers
In partnership with India Power, MHF trained women from underserved communities in Asansol under the General Duty Assistant (GDA) program, enabling access to dignified and sustainable livelihoods in the healthcare sector.
2. Strong Placement-Linked Skilling Model
Out of 30 trained women, 22 candidates secured placements in reputed healthcare organizations across Kolkata and Bangalore, reflecting a strong outcome-driven implementation model.
3. Industry-Aligned Training with Real Workplace Exposure
The program combined classroom learning, practical healthcare simulations, soft skills, and on-the-job hospital exposure to ensure participants were professionally prepared for healthcare environments.
4. Breaking Social Barriers to Women’s Employment
Through community engagement, family counselling, and continuous mentoring, the project addressed challenges around women’s mobility, confidence, and migration for employment.
5. Building Confidence, Financial Independence & Social Mobility
Beyond placements, the initiative strengthened participants’ confidence, workplace readiness, and financial independence, creating pathways for long-term socio-economic upliftment.
Bharat Cares – Skills for Success
1. Skilling Tribal Youth for Sustainable Livelihoods
With support from Bharat Cares (HDFC Parivartan), MHF trained 120 tribal and marginalized youth from Jhargram in automotive servicing and hospitality, creating pathways to dignified employment.
2. Creating Employment Pathways in Aspirational Districts
The project achieved 100% certification and over 70% placement/self-employment outcomes, demonstrating the effectiveness of industry-linked skilling in underserved geographies.
3. Reducing Migration Through Local Skill Ecosystems
The initiative focused on reducing distress migration by equipping youth with industry-relevant skills, local employment exposure, entrepreneurship support, and placement assistance.
4. Holistic Development Beyond Technical Skills
In addition to vocational training, participants received mentoring in communication, workplace ethics, customer interaction, confidence building, and entrepreneurship readiness.
5. Building Community-Led Change in Tribal Regions
The project actively engaged local leaders, gram panchayats, families, and peer groups, creating strong community ownership and inspiring more youth to pursue vocational skilling pathways.
